As my trip comes to a close, I cannot help but look back and think about how grateful I am to have participated with all of these amazing people. Outside of all of the lectures and site visits, I was able to work with my peers to problem-solve when things went haywire at the last minute, compromise when disagreements erupt, and work together towards a common goal.
Before this trip, which consisted of 9 business and 10 nursing majors, I did not know anyone beyond a face in my classes or at all. We were so lucky to have all gotten along and gone on big group outings to activities and dinner, and enjoyed ourselves in the process.

Beyond this trip, I plan to apply my honed skills of staying calm under stress and problem-solving to my future nursing career. While still in school, I can use what I have learned to quickly connect information to what I have previously learned to understand it more effectively and learn as much as I can. When a patient needs help, I will use what I have learned to keep calm and work through quick changes in status and complications to administer the best care possible.
