I have been here for around two months now (I came a little earlier to enjoy Portugal without the work), and I could easily say I will never get tired of being here. The longer I stay, the more I get to visit. The beaches, the sunsets, the rooftops, the people, oh I could go on forever.
Portugal is just one of those countries that has literally everything to offer. I think the coolest part to me is the wineries. Did you know that Portugal drinks the most wine per capita? Yeah, neither did I until I came here. I got the pleasure of visiting Douro Valley while being there. It felt like endless wineries and the green grass went far beyond sight. Standing on top of the valley just felt so freeing. The breeze, the view, the grapes were my favorite part of that visit.

The beaches here are the most beautiful I have ever seen. I would say my favorites were definitely the Algarves and Cascais. Sitting on a beach surrounded by gorgeous caves, oh how I’m going to miss it. The water was much colder than I thought it would be, but it was so worth going in. The Algarves also offered the most gorgeous hikes, viewpoints, and even cliff jumping!

Nothing was more perfect than the town I called home. The architecture and food were unmatched. I feel so lucky to have been placed in an area like this. I never really explored like a “tourist” till this month. It felt like visiting a whole new side to Lisbon. Something I know I will miss a lot will be watching the sunsets with my friends. Finding new viewpoints was one of our most favorite things to do. I hope for the couple weeks I have left I will get to see more cool views and discover new “secret” places.
