I hope to grow personally and professionally through this program by being immersed in nature and learning from primary examples of ecological and geological concepts. Upon arriving at the ranch that we are staying on we were told the dinner rules are no hats, no phones, no pajamas. This was surprising to all of us but well received. Not allowing phones at dinner allows us to mingle with other guests and employees at the ranch. We spend more quality time together and reflect on our day of learning in the field. Additionally, there is little cell service in the field. I hope to grow personally and professionally from this program and the culture that we’re immersed in by appreciating and learning about the nature and geology around us.
