Hello! My name is Sara Rouizem. I am a rising junior majoring in Marketing and Global Management, with an Economics minor, a certificate in Leadership & Ethics, and a certificate in Innovation & Entrepreneurship. I have a passion for understanding the intricacies of the global market and exploring how different cultures influence business practices.

I am thrilled to share that I will be participating in the Pitt Global Business Institute (GBI) program this summer, where I will study and intern in London for six weeks. I chose this program because London is not only a global business epicenter with endless opportunities but also a multicultural hub teeming with thriving communities from across the globe. The city offers a unique blend of traditional English culture and a mosaic of global influences, making it an ideal place for both personal and professional growth.

I selected the Pitt GBI program for several reasons. Academically, it offers a distinctive structure that combines coursework with an internship, providing a holistic learning experience. The opportunity to learn from international professors and engage with a diverse group of peers is invaluable. I believe this environment will enhance my understanding of global business and prepare me for a career in the international market.

Professionally, the internship component of the program is crucial. As much as I have gained from classroom learning, nothing compares to the hands-on experience that an internship provides. Working in a real marketing job in an international setting will allow me to apply theoretical knowledge to practical situations, develop new skills, and gain insights into the global business landscape.
