Hello! My name is Mia Visomirski, and I am a rising junior within the College of Business Administration as a member of the David C. Frederick Honors College. I am currently double-majoring in Marketing and Business Analytics while working towards a certificate in Leadership and Ethics. On campus, I am a member of Delta Delta Delta, where I serve as the Director of PR and Marketing, and I am a member of American Marketing Association. Outside of academics, I enjoy exploring new movies and TV shows, running, and spending time with my family and friends.

I will be participating in the Global Business Institute for a 6-week program in which I will be taking a class and working a part-time internship. The internship will be working with a small apothecary company called Ilapothecary in which I will combine the likeness of both of my majors, analyzing data to problem-solve the best marketing decisions for the company. I have always been a rather analytical person, so this internship will help my professional development by providing me with beneficial real-world business experience I can carry with me in the future.

I chose this program because I could not decide if I wanted to study abroad or intern for this upcoming summer, and this was the perfect combination of the two. Furthermore, I expect an international internship to be particularly rewarding in exploring a professional environment of a new culture, which will provide me with adaptive skills that can be translated into many different situations. Additionally, supplementing my internship with International Marketing as a class will further enlighten my knowledge of marketing on a more global scale, which I hope to utilize within a professional environment. In a personal sense, this will be a very independent experience for me, so I look forward to navigating and exploring a new culture on my own, while fostering lifelong professional and social relationships along the way. I look forward to finally delving into the unique, dynamic, and enriching business and cultural scene of London!
