Intro

Hello! My name is Delaney Rodriguez and I’m a Junior/rising Senior. I am in the College of Business Administration and my majors are Finance and Business Analytics. I hope to pursue a career in finance after I graduate. Outside of schoolwork, I am a Resident Assistant to first year students, a part of the Urban Gaming Club, and a brother in Alpha Kappa Psi! I am a Pittsburgh area native, so of course I love the Steelers.

My Trip to Germany

The program I’ll be attending is Plus3 Transfer: Germany Business, where I’ll be going to Augsburg, Germany for two weeks in May. This program is a little different than the other Plus3s because it is meant specifically for upperclassmen/transfers to Pitt Business. When I first came to Pitt, I was originally a Poli Sci major and only switched my Sophomore year. I had no idea Plus3 existed my first year, so this is such a great opportunity to pursue as an Upperclassman!

The first reason I chose this program was because I’ve always wanted to go to Europe. The only country I’ve ever been to besides the US is Canada, and going “across the pond” was never really an option for my family. So, when my advisor told me about this program, I was immediately interested.

The second reason why I chose this program was because, as an upperclassman, it would be very hard to fit a longer program into my degree. Taking a whole semester abroad would preclude me from having two majors, and doing a six-week summer abroad is not an option due to my summer internship. I wanted to study abroad, but before knowing about this two-week program, that felt impossible. I’m so thankful that this program exists so I can do it all!
