Hello, my name is Jordan Gregory and I will be heading off to Buenos Aires, Argentina for two weeks this summer with the Plus3 program. This will be my first time going abroad, and I am very excited to see how this experience helps to shape me personally and professionally.
During this trip, I will be able to grow my professional network as we visit hospitals and guest speakers to learn more about the Argentine healthcare system. Additionally, I will get to collaborate and build relationships with peers from my school who are taking this adventure with me. Finally, I am excited to learn more about the Argentine culture through the food, language, and traditions that I will get to explore while in Buenos Aires. I’ve heard they are known for their steaks, so I can’t wait to try that as well!
Since this is my first time abroad, I am unsure what to expect or how I will feel being so far from home and in a whole new environment. To be able to take these challenges in stride, I plan to tackle this program similar to how I approached coming to Pitt for the first time in the fall — take in every experience and just put yourself out there. I am eager to learn more about how to travel abroad so I can take my experience to help me plan more trips to explore the world. I can’t wait to share my journey with you all. Chao!
