Hi everyone! My name is Casey Carter and I’m a rising junior majoring in Communications in the Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences with certificates in Digital Media and Sustainability. After graduation, I plan to pursue a career in advertising/marketing. In my free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors, trying new restaurants and coffee shops with my friends, writing, and thrifting.
In a week, I will be heading to Dublin, Ireland, as a part of the International Internship Program (IIP)! Over the course of eight weeks, I will be interning full-time at a beauty and cosmetics company in Dublin. I have selected this program to broaden my skillset and learn about different ways to approach marketing, advertising, etc. from professionals in the field. Every company and brand is different, and I hope to diversify my knowledge and become more well-rounded. Through IIP Dublin I will also gain a global perspective in my internship field and think about how to approach projects or issues from a wider lens. Furthermore, I am excited to meet new people, expand my global network, and learn from my internship mentors.
When I’m not at my internship, I can’t wait to explore the beautiful country of Ireland— from the bustling city of Dublin, to the peaceful coastal towns and rolling hills of the countryside. As both the capitol and the largest city in Ireland, Dublin is a location that has so much to offer. Rich with history and culture, I’m excited to have this vibrant city as my home-base.
